Women Warriors

The history of women has been overshadowed by men's versions of the past. Women Hunters is a part of a series of paintings on prehistoric times in southern Africa by artist 'Obert Obed Muringani'. This painting illuminates women's roles in what is stereotypically thought of as a male domain. While women can and should take great pride in mastering the work of the household the value of their contribution outside of that domain should never be underestimated or overlooked.
